On September 26, 2024, at 8:18 a.m., members of the Tecumseh Detachment Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the eastbound E.C. Row Expressway just west of Huron Church Road in the City of Windsor, for the report of a single vehicle that left the roadway and entered the ditch.
Windsor Police Service had originally responded to the scene until OPP members arrived to assume the investigation.
Investigation revealed that a single vehicle left the roadway sometime after 11:45 p.m., and the driver remained in the vehicle until emergency services were notified just after 7 a.m.
The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
The westbound lanes of E.C. Row Expressway were closed for the investigation and clean up but have since been reopened.
