It may not seem much like fall yet but just wait. Thanksgiving is almost here, and Hallowe’en will round out the month of October. Sweater weather may sound cozy but the flip side of the change of season is higher heating bills.
And while Thanksgiving is a great tradition, it can also create big headaches for those trying to foot the cost of a Thanksgiving dinner that won’t disappoint. Hallowe’en costumes can be made at home rather than bought, but having candy on hand even for a small turnout of goblins can be enough to break the bank in some households.
All of these autumn facts of life can lead to long dark sleepless nights for people who can’t make their payments.
The Kingsville Community Food Bank is always ready to bring some welcome relief. We appreciate the Food Bank volunteers, and our community members for their help in meeting needs.
Here’s a list of items that the Food Bank is looking for in October:
They also welcome gift cards for groceries, products for babies, pet supplies including dog and cat food, laundry and dish detergents, toilet paper, paper towels, and more. Cardboard boxes and cloth bags are always welcome.
If you can help, the Food Bank says a great big Thank You!
The Food Bank is located at 18 Division Street North in Kingsville across the street from RBC Bank. You can also use their drop-off bin inside Zehrs, shown in the picture below.
