At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, September 10, 2024, Council:

• Authorized the lifecycle replacement of 37 Motorola Minitor pagers through Kelcom in the amount of $18,343, excluding applicable taxes, and funded the purchase through the Fire Services Reserve.

• Approved the purchase and installation of replacement radio system hardware through Kelcom in the amount of $71,590, plus applicable taxes, and funded the purchase through the Fire Services Reserve. Council also authorized the Fire Chief to execute a 3-year agreement with Kelcom permitting access to Kelcom’s Digital Essex County Wide Radio-Communication System in the amount of $2,117, plus applicable taxes, for monthly airtime fees. Additionally, Council approved ongoing funding through the IT operational budget for operational monthly airtime fees.

• Entered into a lease agreement with Skyline Real Estate Holdings Inc. for the sole access and use of the Radio Control Room and authorized the Fire Chief to execute the lease agreement, with the annual lease payment of $1,200 to be funded and included as part of the 2025 IT budget.

• Approved $90,000, plus applicable taxes, for consulting fees to implement Microsoft SharePoint in support of the Records Information System Service Delivery Review and funded these fees through the General & Administration Reserve. Council also authorized the Manager of Information Technology and the Clerk to execute the agreement with ITI Canada Inc.

• Confirmed property tax adjustments for certain properties located throughout the municipality.
