Kingsville! You’ve made a special delivery again!
On Sunday, September 22, Zehrs hosted their quarterly food drive in the store for the Kingsville Community Food Bank. Store staff were assisted by food bank volunteers and four high school students who helped pack groceries and collected donations.
The Kingsville Community Food Bank was in Zehrs between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to restock their pantry for our community.
Then it was time to head down Main Street with those donations, and a police escort, to refill those pantries and help our neighbours.
We received $720 in cash donations along with nine carts full of donated goods from shoppers. There was also a van loaded with items from Zehrs because some supplies were just too heavy to be moved otherwise.
All told, more than 13 buggies worth of donations rolled down Main Street to be delivered to the Kingsville Community Food Bank.
Many thanks to the OPP for the escort to make sure everyone got there safely.
And of course a big shout out must go to the volunteers from the Kingsville Community Food Bank who helped make this day possible.
Kingsville Community Food Bank Cart Push
This was the third Zehrs cart push of 2024. There will be a fourth one to close out the year. The food bank had a great weekend. Thank you to all who donated and thank you to the staff at Zehrs.
Our appreciation to Heather Pillon for her assistance with this write-up.

Exotic Car Show at Migration Hall
Chris Bishop from Royal Lepage and Larry Ash of Prince Adventures hosted their first annual Exotic Car Show at Migration Hall on Saturday, September 21. Local exotic car company Rally Sport Collective was also an event sponsor.
This event took place in support of the Kingsville Community Food Bank. With registrations and donations they brought in over $5,000 for the food bank as well as a truck load full of food donations.
“The goal of this event, hosted by our team at Prince Adventures Travel Agency and Chris Bishop, Royal LePage Realtor, is to unite our community through a fresh and exciting experience that supports the vital work of the Kingsville Food Bank,” said Larry Ash.
“At the same time, we aim to boost tourism to our beautiful town, fostering prosperity for local downtown businesses, bars, and restaurants.”
More than 50 exotic and super cars were on display. Over 3,000 visitors showed up through the day.
“With more people relying on the food bank than ever, we at Prince Adventures are proud to host an event that not only raises awareness but also brings the community together to support the Kingsville Community Food Bank,” said Jamie Prince, Co Founder Prince Adventures.
“While financial donations are always needed, if you are not in a position to give, we encourage everyone to consider donating their time, whether directly or by organizing events like this, to make a meaningful impact.”
Ash shared a story with participants to remind them of the impact they can have on our youth.
“One special moment captured the spirit of the day: A volunteer shared the story of a young boy, about 8 or 9 years old, who was invited by an owner to sit in one of the exotic cars. As he walked away with his mother, he exclaimed, ‘This is the best day of my life!’ It’s moments like these that remind us how meaningful this event was for some of the kids.”
Thank you Kingsville for your continuing support of our community food bank. This service couldn’t be provided without your generosity and amazing volunteers.
Thank you to all that were involved with organizing this new event. The energy, the generosity — and the cars! — made for a great day!
Our appreciation to Jamie Prince, Larry Ash and Chris Bishop for their assistance.
