For SECC’s Career Hub, embracing technology has become a fundamental aspect of our services. By integrating cutting-edge tools like AI Mock Interviews, Electronic Translating Devices, and AI-driven job search platforms, we are breaking down barriers and providing clients with the resources they need to succeed.

Career Hub has recently transformed interview preparation with the introduction of an AI Mock Interview service through InStage. Clients can now practice interviews virtually with questions tailored to specific job roles by inputting job details and uploading their resumes.

Detailed post-session reports highlight strengths, areas for improvement, and overall performance, which clients can review with Employment Specialists. This flexibility is designed to build confidence and refine skills.

One client noted, “The AI Mock Interview was very helpful in assisting me to prep for an upcoming interview. I felt confident and prepared.”

In addition to the AI Mock Interview service, Career Hub uses AI tools like ChatGPT for resume reviews, email crafting, and cover letter design.

Our WREN’s Job Portal enables quick creation of customized resumes and cover letters, with 475 resumes completed and positive feedback.

Career Hub also utilizes Electronic Translating Devices to overcome language barriers, ensuring seamless communication with clients, regardless of the language they speak.

This tool has been instrumental in completing appointments and ensuring that clients’ questions and concerns are accurately addressed. The ability to translate pictures has also proven essential in helping clients comprehend various forms and documents.

The impact of this technology was particularly evident during a recent job fair, where a non-English-speaking client completed several interviews using the device. The ability to communicate effectively with each employer led to a successful job offer, highlighting the device’s critical role in supporting clients’ employment efforts.
