Terry Fox’s 44th anniversary run in Kingsville on Sunday, September 15th was another beautiful sunny day and a huge success! We raised an all-time high with a whopping $22,608.
Kudos to our 137 participants and volunteers. Special thanks to Cheryl Crowder, our registration chair and Adrian Farnworth, Marshalls chair, for the outstanding job they did along with all our fabulous volunteers!!
This is an example of what can be done when a community rallies together for a common cause supporting the “No Matter What” theme this year.
Kudos to the MFit team of Marilyn Farnworth, Allie and Kelly McCracken, Diane Diemer and Heidi Sales, who raised $6000 in pledges this year.
Other top teams include Team Keith with $3641, and Stephanie Burden’s Happy Feet with $1350. Special thanks to Royal Oak Age Care Nursing Home residents for collecting $730 on their walk.
Top individual fundraisers were Marilyn Farnworth with $5,670 in pledges and Susan Coates raised $2045.
Mallory Martin raised $2281, in memory of her Dad, Keith Martin, for his 64th birthday on sept 15. Emily Bezaire collected $1425 in pledges for her 7th year of participation.
We couldn’t have done it without your generosity and support!
If you didn’t get a chance you can still donate to our site at http://run.terryfox.ca/kingsville.

A special thanks to the following generous donors:

Thanks also to Aaron Nixon and staff at Main Street Pharmacy for selling our T-shirts this summer.
This is my 44th year of participating in Terry Fox runs and my 8th and final year for being the Kingsville run site organizer. This event is very near and dear to my heart but it is also very time consuming and stressful, so it’s time to pass on the torch.
I’m proud to say Kingsville has raised $95,617 over the past 8 years, despite the fact that two years were during our unforgettable COVID era of virtual runs.
Fortunately, Melo LLP has stepped up to the plate. We appreciate that! And Allyson Kotevich will be our Run Site Co-ordinator for 2025. Thanks Allyson!
Canadians have never forgotten Terry and around the world he is the face of cancer research.
Terry ran 143 days, 42 km/day for a total of 5373 km. The Terry Fox Foundation continues to be a leading national investor in cancer research.
Your annual donations have definitely made an enormous difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families. Once again, Terry has shown the world that one person can definitely make a difference!
