“Lend A Hand” program, a project aimed at helping seniors age comfortably at home with the assistance of dedicated volunteers.

Eligibility for Lend A Hand Services:

• 55 years or older
• Low-income
• Reside in Wheatley, Leamington, or Kingsville
• Eligibility is determined by an assessment

Services Provided:

• Light housekeeping (kitchen/bathroom wipe down, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting)
• In-home laundry and bedding changes
• Garbage/recycling collection and snow removal
• Yard work (trimming, raking, mowing)
• Assistance in navigating and accessing other community services

Volunteer Information:

• Flexible scheduling
• Tailored training and ongoing support
• Yard work supplies provided
• Vulnerable Sector Check required (18+)
• Open to all ages: seniors, youth, families
