Attention Artists: Get Early Bird Rate for Great Migration Paint Out

The Town of Kingsville is once again preparing to welcome artists from all over the country for its Great Migration Paint Out, an en plein air painting competition in conjunction with the Town’s annual Migration Festival.

Artists of all skill levels participate in this unique contest, setting up easels and using Kingsville’s landmarks and landscapes as creative inspiration.

“Our Town’s support of the arts community has helped us grow this competition each year,” said local art advocate and Migration Festival Committee Chair, Layne van Loo. “We hope to welcome more visitors to the festival in 2024.”

At the close of the competition on October 20, 2024, the Town holds the Great Migration Paint Out Art Exhibition “Show and Sale” at the Grovedale Arts & Culture Centre. Entries from the competition will be displayed for judging, and many will be available for purchase to the general public. Everyone attending the exhibition can vote for their favourite painting in the adult category for the “People’s Choice Award.”
