At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, July 9, 2024, Council:

• Authorized improvements to the Jacob Fox Drain.

• Approved an Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment application to permit an additional dwelling unit to be located in the detached accessory building on the property at 1900 Deer Run Road.

• Approved a Zoning By-law Amendment application to permit a multi-unit dwelling containing four units on the property located at 21 Montgomery Street.

• Awarded a tender for the Rick Atkin Park Renewal Project to Barrineti Construction Ltd. in the amount of $1,756,604 plus applicable taxes, with the additional $388,807 to be funded from Development Charges and the Waterfront Development Reserve.

• Directed Administration to bring a further report regarding the Taxi By-law to consider taxi fares, leasing of plates, required minimum number of taxicabs per business and the requirement to maintain an office in the Municipality of Leamington.

• Authorized the Mayor and Administration to enter into a Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Agreement with Caldwell First Nation and Union Water Supply System Inc. on behalf of the Municipality.

• Passed several resolutions with respect to the Agency, Board and Committee policies.
