The Town of Kingsville is installing a westbound right-hand turn lane on Main Street at Jasperson Drive to improve traffic capacity in the area. Construction begins the week of July 8, 2024, weather permitting. Recognizing the high traffic volume in this area, we expect traffic inconvenience during the estimated six-week construction period.
Businesses will remain accessible throughout the work period. However, left turns between Zehrs and Pelee Island Winery will be mostly restricted to prevent congestion and maintain safety for drivers, pedestrians and construction workers.
- To access businesses on the North side, drivers must approach from the East and turn right.
- To access businesses on the South side, drivers must approach from the West and turn right.
We acknowledge this will cause temporary inconvenience, but we have carefully considered this measure against the need to maintain efficient traffic flow and avoid gridlock.

We look forward to seeing the long-term benefits of improved traffic capacity and active transportation downtown. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
