Kingsville Celebrates Pollinator Week – June 17 to 23

Kingsville’s Communities in Bloom Committee encourages everyone to participate in National Pollinator Week, an international celebration of pollinators happening June 17 to 23, 2024.

Pollinators are birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles and other small mammals that pollinate plants and are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food. They also sustain our ecosystems and produce natural resources by helping plants reproduce.

The theme for 2024 National Pollinator Week is Vision 2040: Thriving ecosystems, economies, and agriculture.

“This year’s event encourages us to envision a future where pollinators not only survive but thrive,” said Communities in Bloom Committee Chair, Carol Dunn. “We hope everyone will learn what they can do to protect our pollinators by visiting our pollinator gardens and by attending some of our Pollinator Week activities.”
