Ontario Invests in New Seniors Programs in Kingsville

On Wednesday, April 3, 2024 the province announced that it is investing in improving the quality of life and building community engagement in Kingsville by adding a new local Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) Program.

“These new Seniors Active Living Centres let our seniors stay fit, active, healthy, and socially connected so they can continue to live independent lives,” said Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility.

The Town has engaged the Kingsville Community Centre to deliver and expand programs and activities for seniors at different venues throughout Kingsville.

“We are incredibly grateful to receive this provincial funding for a new senior active living centre in Kingsville,’ said Dennis Rogers, Mayor of Kingsville. “Through our arrangement with the Kingsville Community Centre, our residents will gain access to enhanced and expanded 55+ programming within the Centre and at various locations throughout our communities. This is great news for our Town.”

There are now 316 Seniors Active Living Centre programs across Ontario. Seniors and caregivers can use the online search tool to find a program in their community.
