Kingsville Council Brief – March 11, 2024

At its March 11, 2024 meeting, Council:

  • Reconsidered By-law 68-2023, which had previously prohibited the illumination of Commercial Signs outside or on buildings between 11 pm. and 7 am, and directed Administration to amend Property Standards By-law 68-2023 accordingly
  • Approved Consent Application B-2024-5 to sever an existing dwelling deemed surplus to the needs of the applicants’ farming operation and rezone the retained farm parcel known as V/L Road 2 W to Agriculture – Restricted
  • Approved Consent Application B-2024-7 to create one new lot at 291 Main Street East and amended the parcel’s Zoning
  • Awarded the new Jamis Drain and Branches tender to Clarke Construction Inc.
  • Approved the purchase of two new dump trucks/snow plows
  • Directed Administration to enter into an Agreement with the Kingsville Community Centre to provide programs and services for seniors.
  • Directed Administration to send the Province of Ontario and other parties a letter requesting support for a comprehensive social and economic prosperity review to promote the stability and sustainability of municipal finances across Ontario
