Kingsville Seeks Input on Potential Regulations for Short-Term Rentals

The Town of Kingsville has released a Short-Term Rental Survey to determine if there is community interest in regulating the short-term rental market.

Short-term rentals are usually defined as all or part of a dwelling unit rented out for less than 28 consecutive days in exchange for payment. Including:

  • Cottages
  • Holiday homes
  • Whole home rentals
  • Room rentals
  • Bed and breakfasts (B&Bs)
  • Hotels and motels

“The tourism industry is essential to our local economy,” said Kingsville Chief Administrative Officer, John Norton. “It’s also important to address resident concerns with respect to things like noise, garbage, and parking.”

We invite residents and short-term rental owners to take our Short-Term Rental Survey on our citizen engagement portal at HaveYourSayKingsville.ca. The feedback we collect will play a crucial role in helping Council make informed decisions about potential licensing and regulations.

This survey will remain open until May 31, 2024.
