Wildflower & Native Seeds Available at All Essex County Library Branches

Plant seeds in November? Absolutely!

Stop by any of our branches and take home up to six different pack of wildflower seeds. This collection is perfect for fall sowing. All you need to do is rake up your soil, sow your seeds, cover them with dirt, and then wait for spring!

Local gardeners from the Ruthven area have been collecting seeds for the library for three years now.

This same group is responsible for the native garden at the Ruthven branch.

These gardening friends have supplied all the plants and work in the gardens until the fall. They gather the seeds, pack them and share them with us.

A big thank you once again to our fantastic seed collectors in Ruthven.
