Kingsville’s Remembrance Day Service Is on November 11

Kingsville’s Remembrance Day Service is in front of the cenotaph at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 188 on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 am, 145 Division Street South. Following the service, the Legion will open for free soup, hot chocolate and coffee.

Adjacent to the Legion is the Kingsville Military Museum, open for self-guided tours from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. This is a good opportunity to see the many historical pieces highlighting the local military history of our Town. Entry is by donation. Call 519-733-2803 if you have any questions.

At 6:00 pm, the Legion holds its annual roast beef dinner. The cost is $25 per ticket. Veterans (and their spouse or caregiver) are free.

Please note that tickets must be purchased in advance. You can stop in before Saturday and pay with cash at the Legion Bar, or pay by e-transfer to kingsvillelegion188@cogeco.net. (Please make the password “remembrance” and email order details separately to the same email address).

If you have questions about the Remembrance Day Ceremony or if you’d like to purchase a wreath for the service, please contact the Legion at 519-733-5162.
