Cliff was a loyal friend and employee of my father George Stomp. In the last years of our Red & White grocery store in Kingsville, Ontario, Cliff spent his working days alongside my father, butchering meat in the back corner. They were an awesome pair together, always cracking jokes and telling stories, as they moved in sync to get the work done.

I know because I spent all my non-school hours alongside them working in the meat department. It was fun to watch their dynamic. But I knew Cliffy was as loyal as they come. Whenever I think of my childhood growing up, I remember him there (as well as lots of other loyal employees over the years).

He was a lively one and always that mischievous smile. I would drop in to visit him many times after the store closed, my parents were gone and we would reminisce. I would thank him for the memories. Good man. May he rest in peace.
