The Leamington Uptown Business Improvement Area (BIA) Board of Management represents over 200 businesses in the BIA-defined area. The mandate of the BIA is to develop the uptown core through beautification, general improvements and upgrades, promotion, events, and marketing.
Members of the Uptown Leamington Business Improvement Area (BIA) are invited to attend the upcoming Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Leamington Arts Centre, 72 Talbot St. W., Leamington, ON N8H 1M4. Members must register in advance by calling the Municipality of Leamington at 519-326-5761 during office hours or by emailing clerks@leamington.ca by Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 12:00 PM.
The Annual General Meeting is an opportunity for members to participate in the decisions that your BIA is making. At this meeting, the Board of Management will present the proposed 2024 budget to members and provide details about improvements being made within the business area.
Members are entitled to one vote regardless of properties owned or leased. If the member is a corporation, one individual may be nominated to vote on behalf of the corporation by providing notice, in writing, to the Clerk at or before the meeting.
All relevant documents related to the Annual General Meeting, including the agenda and 2024 draft BIA budget, will be posted on the Municipality’s website at leamington.ca/meetings.
