The Town has been dealing with various issues due to heavy rainfall in the area. Public Works, Water, and Fire staff have been working throughout the night to address the situation.
In addition, several trees have fallen on the roads, causing traffic disruptions. Some areas are experiencing high water levels and flooding, including the bridge on Heritage to the Arner.
We have closed all our parks and marina (including boat ramp and fuelling services), York Park Trail and all baseball and soccer fields.
We’re getting multiple reports of basements flooding all over Town; please get in touch with your insurance company.
Residents should be mindful of conditions when walking or driving through Town. Ditches are deep and deceptive, and it would be best to stay inside if possible. Please call 911 if you have an emergency. We will provide more updates as they become available.
