The Arena Ice Slab Project is currently on schedule and progressing very well. We achieved a critical phase on Monday, July 31st when the contractor poured the concrete.
This is referred to as a “monolithic pour” which means “continuous pour,” and it took the construction crew almost 21 hours to complete.
After 25 loads of concrete, equivalent to almost 200 cubic meters, our contractor and consultant are pleased with the results, and all testing has been highly positive.
We are still on track to meet our ice target date of November 1st and look forward to seeing the finished product.
