July means full-on summer! Despite the recent air quality issues and the yearly fish flies, and the upper limits of the humidex, it’s a great time of year. It may seem full of promise for some but not everyone is able to feel that. And that goes for the people who are struggling to pay their bills, and trying to feed themselves and their families.
The Food Bank is here to help those who are in need. Their volunteers are dedicated and standing by to bring some relief. And we appreciate those who give so generously in our community.
Here’s a list of items that the Food Bank is looking for in July:
The Food Bank will also be collecting donations at the Food Bank during Christmas in July Open Streets on July 29.
They also welcome gift cards for groceries, products for babies, pet supplies including dog and cat food., laundry and dish detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, tampons, and more. They’re always looking for empty margarine tubs and jars with lids for dish and laundry soaps poured from large containers. If you can help, the Food Bank would appreciate it.
