It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Maria on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the age of 91 years. Reunited with her loving husband, Manuel Soares Carreira (2001). Dear mother of Joe Carreira (Rita), Fernanda Nascimento (Joe), Isabel Pereira (late John), Irene Fox (Al) and Isilda Attridge (Mike).

Special Avó to Christopher, Anthony, Mitchell (Marilyne), Max (T), Megan (Lliam), Allyson (Pearson), Emilie, Hanna, Sonya (Matt), Cat (Nate), Carlos (Amanda), Eric (Emily); Bisavó to Erin and Vómia to Jordan, Jackson, Eleanor, and Nelson.

Survived by her sister, Conceição (Joaquim); brother-in-law, José (Luisa). Predeceased by her parents, Josefa Vieira and Manuel Frazao; siblings, Jose Luis (Emilia), Fernando (Zilda), Francelina and Pedro. Maria will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Family and friends will gather at Kendrick Funeral Home, Kingsville, Friday, June 16, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m.

The mass of Christian burial will take place at St. John de Brebeuf Church (67 Main St E, Kingsville, ON N9Y 1A1) on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
