Kingsville’s Canada Day Celebration Moves Indoors Due to Weather Forecast

The Town of Kingsville is moving Canada Day activities inside the Arena in response to forecasted storms and a Special Air Quality Statement.

“We have had to reimagine the event indoors,” said Karen Loney, Kingsville’s Manager of Recreation Programming and Special Events. “It’s still going to be a lot of fun for children and families.”

Everyone is welcome to attend from 1:30 pm – 7:00 pm to take part in the celebration.

Arena Room A (elevator access) 

  • 1:30 pm – Opening Ceremonies
    • Welcome from the Mayor
    • National Anthem and Songs by
    • Music Moves Kids
  • 2:00 pm – FREE Cupcakes
  • Live Music and Entertainment
    • 2:00 pm – Best of Mad Science
    • 3:00 pm – Some Guys Who Like To Sing
    • 4:00 pm – Magic: Bill Nuvo Experience
    • 5:00 pm – Tim Swaddling Band
    • 6:00 pm – Jen Knight Trio
  • Enjoy Interactive Fun with Jump Realty

Arena Room B

  • 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm – Kids’ Crafts
  • 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm – Face Painting
  • 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm – Make Glow Slime with Mad Science

Hallway by the Indoor Canteen

  • 1:30 pm – Vendors Market

Front Entrance, Some Indoor / Some Outdoor, Look for Directional Signage

  • Community Maple Leaf Project with the Arts Society of Kingsville and Creative Touch Studios
  • Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore is collecting diapers and infant items for KEYS EarlyOn. Please drop off any donations at their booth.
  • 1:30 pm – Kingsville Lion’s Club BBQ
  • Communities in Bloom is handing out free native plants
  • 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm – Starlight Aerialist

We have rescheduled some of the planned outdoor activities to enhance upcoming events, including: 

  • Bouncy Castles (now at July 15, 2023, Open Streets)
  • Foam party (now incorporated into Play with Water events)
  • Pony Rides (date TBD)

The Kingsville Express Train will be on site for rides as long as the weather cooperates. Fireworks scheduled at Lakeside Park at 10:00 pm are currently moving forward. However, the Fireworks Company may cancel tomorrow if they determine proceeding is unsafe.
