June for many families marks the end of school and the beginning of summer. Sounds breezy and carefree but that’s not the case for everyone — not for people who are living with financial difficulties. Bills must still be paid, and sometimes that doesn’t leave enough money for food.
The Food Bank is always ready to help those who are in need. We appreciate the dedication of the Food Bank volunteers. We are so thankful for those who give generously in our community.
Here’s a list of items that the Food Bank is looking for in June:
From the Food Bank’s Facebook page:
“The Kingsville Community Food Bank proudly serves Kingsville residents who may be experiencing food vulnerability. We offer perishable and non-perishable items as well as personal hygiene items to those who need a helping hand.”
The Food Bank also welcomes products for babies, pet supplies, laundry and dish detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, tampons, and more. They’re always looking for empty margarine tubs and jars with lids for dish and laundry soaps poured from large containers. If you can help, the Food Bank would love to hear from you!
The Food Bank is located at 18 Division Street North in Kingsville across the street from RBC Bank. You can also use their drop box inside Zehrs.
