Come on out to meet local author Joan Harder who has shared much of her life story in her new book From Prairie Roots to Lake Erie Shores. Although she has been a Kingsville resident for many years, Joan grew up in a hamlet in Alberta.

On the occasion of her 90th birthday Joan Harder collected all her memories and wisdom into a heartwarming and life-affirming memoir.
Joan’s memoir From Prairie Roots to Lake Erie Shores will make you long for simpler times and see the humour in everyday life.
Joan grew up during the Depression Era in small town Altario, Alberta. Her book shares memories from her life ranging from stories of the everyday to the life-changing joys and sorrows she has experienced.
The book cover is a photograph by Kingsville’s Marianne Kovacs of a painting of the grain elevator in Joan’s Alberta home town.
