It is with much anticipation and excitement that we share the news that the Essex County Library will be adding more decodable books to our collection!

Together with the International Dyslexia Association and the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Education, we were able to add over 200 more decodable books to our circulation.

These decodable books will provide children who are learning to read, with at-home opportunities to practice and apply skills being taught through explicit and systematic instruction.

The new decodable books will be available on May 27, 2023.

On behalf of the Essex County Library, we thank the IDA and the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Education for this opportunity for our community and families.
