On Tuesday, February 7, 2023 a single-vehicle crash in Kingsville has caused the deaths of two people while a third has been taken to hospital. The crash took place at County Road 34 between Marsh Side Road and Cameron Side Road. Essex County OPP was on  the scene.

The vehicle left the roadway around 2:54 a.m. while travelling south on County Road 34, according to Constable Steven Duguay. It struck a parked pick-up truck, igniting into flames. Two occupants were pronounced deceased at the scene. The other occupant was able to escape from the vehicle with non-life-threatening injuries.
