What does WECHS have in common with a Dalmation? We can be spotted all over!
Spot WECHS at some fur-raising, family and dog-friendly events this weekend throughout Essex County. You’ll find something for everyone in the family — from BBQs, beverages and live entertainment to dog & human costume contests, prizes and activities.
October 29 from 11 am – 3 pm
Dress up your furry friends and visit our friends at Ren’s Pets on Walker Rd., for their Howl’O’Ween Ball and Pet Costume Party.
There will be lots of “Tricks for Treats” and a photography backdrop so pet parents can take spooky pics with their pets. Anyone who donates to WECHS in store that day has a chance to win a special Howl’O’Ween Prize basket.
October 29 from 12 pm – 4 pm
Bring your vampires, princesses and ghosts to the exciting third annual Truck or Treat event at the Vollmer Complex and look for our booth!
Families are encouraged to dress up for Halloween and come out to see an exciting lineup of unique vehicles including emergency, construction, farm vehicles, trucks, and more, while collecting some goodies along the way!
Candy will be available on tables throughout the event and children can take a piece of candy from the tables. Participants should bring their own trick-or-treat candy bag. Net proceeds from the $2.00 entrance fee per child (cash only) will support the Windsor-Essex County Humane Society.
October 29 from 5 pm – 11 pm
Find us at DEVILS MASQUERADE at GL Heritage Brewing Company. Dress up the family, put a costume on the dog, because the once-a-year, Devil’s Masquerade Halloween costume party is back! Presented by Movati Athletics. Join us under the tent outside or meet us indoors. Pets welcome.
The night will include:
- Live entertainment with buskers, aerialists and music by Leave Those Kids Alone
- Food and drinks for purchase
- Best costume prizes for humans and canines
All proceeds go to the Windsor Essex County Humane Society.
