Join Parks Canada and the artist community as we celebrate the art of nature at Point Pelee National Park through the third annual Art at the oTENTiks arts and crafts festival, and the Artist-in-Residence exhibit at the Leamington Arts Centre.
Art at the oTENTiks
On October 15 and 16, we invite visitors to Art at the oTENTiks, our third annual arts and crafts festival in the beautiful and unique setting of the Camp Henry oTENTik village.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience Point Pelee National Park as they stroll through the oTENTik village, visit with the artists and learn how their beautiful products are created. There will be live demonstrations and music, opportunities to contribute to the community painting or make your own art piece to take home, and of course, look for that one-of-a-kind creation that speaks to you, from photography and watercolours to crochet work and garden décor.

Artist-in-Residence Exhibit – Leamington Arts Centre
In June this year, artists with roots from all across the globe were selected to participate in the Artist-in-Residence program, a five-day residency in Point Pelee National Park where artists could connect with nature and gain inspiration for their next work(s) of art. A selection of these creative and imaginative works are now on display at the Leamington Arts Centre through October 16.
As Vincent Van Gogh said, “If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere” and that is truly the case at Point Pelee National Park. Whether you’re gazing up at towering trees in the forest, exploring the serenity of the marsh, listening to the lapping waves on the beach, or enjoying a sunny day in the park’s globally rare savannah, you will have endless opportunities to connect with nature and even find inspiration for your very own artistic creation. After all, “art will never be able to exist without nature.” {Pierre Bonnard}
