The motto of the Kingsville Horticultural Society (KHS) is “Caring for the Environment, Beautifying our Town.” Many of our residents help fulfill this by planting and maintaining colourful, attractive gardens. The KHS wants to recognize the efforts of gardeners who have been nominated for this program.
Congratulations to the Demeris family (Beverly, Joe and Kim) for earning the Overall Winner award for 2022!
Kim, as the primary gardener, has been developing the garden with some help from her Mom, Bev. Dad Joe does the important job of watering! Over the years the garden has grown to cover almost the entire front property.
Kim loves to shop for different plants and nick-knacks for the garden. Recently she purchased a Healing Garden sign from an artisan who is from Ukraine. The variety of trees, shrubs, grasses and flowering plants along with signs, gnomes, benches and other decorative touches keep you looking for more.
This garden demonstrates a love for the power of plants!
The Demeris family was also presented with a gift basket filled with gardening items.
Since there are many beautiful and well-cared for gardens in our area, the Committee decided to give out 6 Recognition Award signs in addition to the Overall Winner sign.

I have the privilege of living across the street from this garden. I enjoy it everyday. I would like to see another award for backyards too. The back yard at this address is even more amazing.
