Public Notice Pesticide Use Starts June 13, 2022

Please be advised that the Town of Kingsville has obtained all approvals from the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) and will begin using certain pesticides registered under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada) to control noxious weeds on June 13, 2022. This is required to promote public health and safety. The Town’s noxious weed control program falls under the Public Works exemption of the Cosmetic Pesticides Ban.

We will use a combination of the following:

  • Clearview Herbicide (Reg. #29752), containing the active ingredients Aminopyralid (present as potassium salt) and Metsulfuron Methyl.
  • Escort Herbicide (Reg. #23005), containing the active ingredient Metsulfuron Methyl, Hasten NT Spray Adjuvant, which contains active ingredients Methyl and ethyl oleate (Esterified vegetable oil) (Reg. #28277).

We will spray along the following rural roadsides:

  • Road 2 from County Road 23 to County Road 45
  • Road 3 from County Road 23 to County Road 31
  • Road 5 from County Road 23 to County Road 31
  • Road 6 from County Road 23 to County Road 31
  • Road 7 North Talbot Road to County Road 31
  • Road 8 County Road 23 to County Road 31
  • Road 9 County Road 23 to Highway #3
  • Road 10 from North Talbot Road to County Road 31
  • Road 11 from North Talbot Road to County Road 31
  • Marsh Road from County Road 27 to County Road 34
  • North Talbot Road from County Road 8 to Road 7
  • McCain Sideroad from Hemlock Street to County Road 27
  • South Talbot Road from Malden Road to County Road 18
  • Malden Road from County Road 23 to County Road 34
  • Cameron Sideroad from Highway #3 to County Road 8
  • Olinda Sideroad from County Rd 34 to Road 7
  • Graham Sideroad from Seacliff Drive to County Road 8
  • Inman Sideroad from Highway #3 to Road 6
  • Upcott Sideroad from South Talbot Road to County Road 34
