Kingsville Launches New ‘Volunteer Ambassador’ Program

Kingsville has created a formal program to coordinate volunteers for Town events, initiatives, and services. The “Kingsville Volunteer Ambassador Program” is the first of its kind in the Town. It streamlines training through an online platform that outlines the Town’s expectations and protocols while allowing for adaptability depending on the volunteer position.

Volunteering is an exciting way to give back to the community and Kingsville has many volunteer opportunities available.

“Volunteers are the backbone of our community. Without volunteers we would not be the great community we are,” said Kingsville Mayor Nelson Santos. “This program recognizes the importance of volunteers by giving them the tools they need and matches their interests with an opportunity to serve. It also reassures our volunteers that the Town also has your back with key supports. Welcome Ambassadors!”

The Town is currently seeking volunteers to assist with Canada Day Celebrations and Open Streets. Fill out the Volunteer Application Form to get started. Please note that some Volunteer positions require more training and clearance than others.

“The process for signing up is easy and online,” said Kingsville CAO John Norton. “Once approved to commence the training, the first portion of the training can be completed online at any time from the comfort of your home. Later, in person training happens at the event or service location.”

Kingsville thanks all citizens, groups and businesses who give their time, enthusiasm and skills that continue to grow its incredible community spirit.
