Meet our Pet of the Week – Bella!

Hiya, I’m Bella. I’m a 3 year old Rottweiler mix weighing 61lbs, and I really really hope to find my new home real soon. You see, I had a family that really cared for me and loved me dearly. I spent my whole life with them, but then I ended up having some issues towards the young kiddos in the home and it started causing some problems.

Mum felt it would be best to help me find a home without young kids, so I can feel like my best self and be a successful girl, and I can totally understand where she is coming from. She wanted the best for me, and so do I. I am a wonderful girl and know I will make someone very very happy, but sadly I’m not doing too hot in the shelter.

I think it’s because of how unfamiliar it is, and how I’m not used to all these noises and different things going on. I come off a bit scared and bark at people, but I warm super quickly, and then before you know it, I’m leaping all over you because I’m so over-excited and want love and attention.

I will need some work on basic training things, and an adopter that is understanding that I may need time and patience while re-adjusting to a new home. I can be strong on leash, but I actually listen very well. Obviously I’m sure you already know, but I am best suited in a home without children, and also, no cats as well. (We aren’t the best of pals.)

I can be a bit anxious when I’m left home alone, so an adopter that is home often and willing to help me with this will be best. I do well with other doggos, especially ones that’ll play with me!

I promise to shower you with love, cuddles, and completely light up your life. I know once I’m in my new home with my new hoomans that I will make such an amazing companion. So do you think you have the home I’m looking for and the time to spend with a girl like me?
