A reminder that recycling in Kingsville and the County of Essex is an Essex Windsor Solid Waste Authority program. Your recycling is collected every other Wednesday. Please have your recycling boxes out before 6:00 am and ensure paper products are separated from containers.

Why was my recycling bypassed?

Your recycling may be left behind if:

–  It contains plastic bags of any type, even bags with a recycling symbol (loop).

–  It includes items that should be dropped off at the depot (such as chemical waste or electronics)

–  It’s overfilled

–  It’s improperly sorted, or

–  It’s in a container that’s incompatible with the recycling program

You will see an “oops” sticker on your bin if your recycling is purposely bypassed.
