
The Town of Kingsville is pleased to welcome Courtney Godfrey to the municipality as its new Manager of Parks and Recreation. Courtney previously worked at Sheridan College as their Athletic Facility Coordinator, where she oversaw all facets of facility operation and the design and redesign of recreational facilities. She holds a Master of Educational Leadership, Master of Business Administration, and her Bachelor of Science, Adult Education Certificate, and Sport Management Certificate. She also has eight years of post-secondary athletics and recreation experience.
“Courtney has strong project management skills, significant experience supervising large staff groups, and a history of managing complex, large-scale events and conferences virtually and in person,” said Kingsville’s Director of Community and Development Services, Richard Wyma. “We’re looking forward to Courtney bringing her fresh perspective to the Manager of Parks and Recreation role.”
As the Manager of Parks and Recreation, Courtney is responsible for the efficient and effective planning, programming, budgeting and management of municipal parks and recreation facilities. She will be the lead in working with sports-based user groups to deliver recreation programs and services and oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all municipal buildings and property.
“I’m very excited to put my experience and positive mindset to work for Kingsville,” said Courtney. “I’m committed to building an exceptional and seamless park and recreation experience for the community.”
Courtney’s first day with the Town is Monday, May 2, 2022.
