The Town of Kingsville is changing its Fire Inspection practices and fee structure. The Ontario Fire Marshal Emergency Management (OFMEM) mandates every municipality in the province to have a Fire Prevention Program to keep people safe from potential fire threats. Regular inspections, testing and maintenance make for safer working and living environments for everyone in our community.
As of March 1, Kingsville is charging fees for fire inspections. Inspection fees range in cost depending on the inspection type and building category.
All fire inspections include a file search, travel, site visit, orders, re-inspection and a safety plan review.
“This is another positive step in ensuring fire safety throughout the community of Kingsville,” said Kingsville’s Fire Chief, John Quennell.
