(LEAMINGTON, ON) – On February 1, 2022 at approximately 4:44 p.m. members from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Leamington Detachment responded to a report of a man putting a silver handgun in his waistband just prior to entering a downtown business in Leamington.

Officers located the individual that matched the description and found them to in possession of a revolver in his waistband. The individual was taken into custody and the weapon was seized.

Upon further investigation, it was determined to be a revolver style pellet gun.

William Randall SHEARON, 34-years-old of Leamington has been charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon contrary to Section 90 of the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Leamington on March 11, 2022 to answer to the charges.
