(ESSEX/KINGSVILLE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have concluded their investigation into a two vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. this morning.

A Nissan passenger vehicle was southbound on Essex County Road 23 and was struck in the intersection at Essex County Road 20, by a westbound Freightliner flatbed truck. Both drivers were taken to hospital.

The driver of the Nissan, 19 year old Ethan STRICKLAND of Windsor, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The road was closed for several hours but has now been re-opened and the investigation is complete. No charges will be laid.
