Max, 3-year-old Beagle

Hello, I’m Max. I am a super sweet and active Beagle, ready for my new home!! I’m a typical Beagle- full of energy, extremely nose driven, and a little (well … a lot) obnoxious at times. I tend to be a little over-dramatic when I see other dogs.

If I could talk I would be saying to them “HEY YOU!! YA YOU!!!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? WHAT’S YOUR NAME??? GOT ANY FRIENDS? WANT ONE?? CAN I COME MEET YOU! I’M COMING TO MEET YOU!!!!”, but instead it comes out as barking and what sounds like screaming…

I just can’t help myself because I get so over-stimulated that I lose control. But, I do have potential with the right person, and the right training.

The humans here say it is very important I go home with someone that has time for me, and is willing to work with a trainer for me so I can be successful. It would be nice if my human has Hound experience, because well, I’m your typical Hound dog.

I cannot go to a home with other animals, and need a fenced yard (I gets the zoomies and LOVE running 100 miles per hour!) I am SUPER loving, playful, and silly. I still act like a puppy at times and prance around with my toys.

Man, I LOVEEEEEE toys so much! And food, and attention, I mean, I love lots of things in life and am quite the happy fella.

I also hate to brag BUT I am SUPER intelligent. I can learn new skills and tricks and am super food motivated! I am very polite and listen well. I LOVE enrichment toys and using my brain to solve things, so I hope you can pick some cool puzzle toys up for me!

I would prefer a home with no cats. Dogs may be fine as long as they’re calm and respectful (I have had some bad experiences with other dogs before so it would have to be a good match).
