Traffic Complaint Leads to Charges in Kingsville Nov. 13

(KINGSVILLE, ON) – On November 13, 2021 at 12:06 a.m., members of the Kingsville Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a traffic complaint on County Road 23, Kingsville, ON, of an erratic driver.

Officers located the vehicle stopped on the side of the road on County Road 23, as officers approached, the vehicle took off striking two officers. The vehicle drove at a high rate of speed ended up in a ditch. The driver was treated for minor injuries.

Justin LOMA, a 34-year-old of Windsor, has been charged with:

·        Flight from peace officer S.320.17

·        Dangerous operation S.320.13

·        Resist Peace Officer S.129 (a)

The accused was also wanted on warrants from another police service. The accused has was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.

The officers who were struck were not injured.

Essex County OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
