Off the Shelf: Library Will Hold Radon Air Testing Presentation Nov. 30

November is Radon Action Month in Canada. Please join us on this webinar to learn all about radon. You will learn about what radon is and how it can affect our long-term health. You will also learn how to test your own home for radon for little to no cost. #RadonActionMonth

Time will be provided at the end to have your questions answered by our expert from the Windsor Essex County Health Unit.

Manuela Denes was born and raised in Windsor. She graduated from the University of Windsor with a BA in English Literature. Strangely enough, she went on to work at Chrysler Canada for twelve years.

Halfway through her stint there, she decided to fulfil a dream and started to work on her MLIS. After four years she received her degree from Wayne State University and to add to her resume received a  BEd from the University of Windsor.

Manuela moved to Tokyo, Japan for two years where she implemented a library program for the Canadian International School.

A year later upon her return to Canada, she was hired as a Resource Assistant with the Essex County Library working first at the Toldo branch in Lakeshore. Then she was off to Amherstburg as a Community Supervisor. Her most recent position with ECL is Manager, Community Services. 

When she saw that the Kingsville Times was online, she sent a message on Instagram asking about doing a weekly news article about what’s happening at the library.
