(KINGSVILLE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Kingsville Fire Department and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to a collision on Heritage Road in the Town of Kingsville.

Officers were called to Heritage Road near Park Avenue at approximately 12:05 p.m. for a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

As a result, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

OPP West Region Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigators assisted with the investigation.

Heritage Road was closed between Harold Cull Road and Conservation Boulevard for approximately five hours while police continued to investigate.

The pedestrian has been identified as Evelyn GREENWOOD, 69 years-old from Kingsville.
