The Town of Kingsville is kicking off Canada Day festivities with a Canada Day Food Trail! Starting June 30, 2021, participating businesses will offer Canadian-themed food and drink items. Everything from a maple smoked chicken sandwich to maple bacon cupcakes and Canadian butter tarts. These special menu items will be available for purchase until July 4, 2021.

You can also pick up a FREE Canada Day cupcake starting June 30, 2021. Sixteen businesses in Kingsville have agreed to hand out Canada Day cupcakes on the Town’s behalf. See www.kingsville.ca/canadaday for a list of participating companies.

On July 1, the Parks and Recreation team will distribute FREE Canada-themed gift bags filled with goodies at Kingsville North Fire Station, Ruthven Public Library and Unico Centre. Special thanks to the residents from Chartwell Royal Oak Long Term Care Residence, Chartwell Kingsville Retirement Residence, and Southgate Village Retirement Residence for decorating the bags and writing messages about their favourite Canada Day memories. Bags are available for pick up between 10:00 am – 12:00 pm or until supplies last.

Use the riddles found in your Canada Day bag or posted to the Kingsville Parks and Recreation Facebook page at 10:00 am to join the Community-Wide Scavenger Hunt. Jump in your car and post photos of the Canada Day flag at each location with #Kingsvilleplays to be entered into a grand prize draw!

Then wrap up the celebrations with a Canada Day Virtual Fireworks Experience in partnership with Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island and Snapd. Visit Snapd.com/app to download the app and join us for fireworks starting at 9:30 pm.
