Kilo, 1.5 years

Hello, I’m Kilo. I may look like a big confident Mastiff weighing in at 80lbs… but I’m actually very very afraid. I’m scared of new people especially men (they are the scariest..)… I need time to warm up and get comfortable with people, and I do not like being rushed (I mean, who does?).

Once I get comfortable with you I will love you lots and be the most affectionate boy! The humans always say that honesty is the best policy so that’s why I want to be honest with you about who I am and what I need.

I guess it’s important to also mention I’m not super great with other dogs either because I’m scared… I know, it sounds like a lot but I just never received proper training or socialization and it made life very scary for me… I will need training and I must go to a calm and predictable household with no children and no chaos.

I need a human who is patient and willing to help me come out of my shell. I would also prefer a fenced yard because I can get spooked when walking outside and I hear loud unfamiliar noises.. It is really important that my human is patient, understanding, and willing to help me come out of my shell and gain confidence.

I really am such a great boy and act like a puppy in a big dogs body, you should see how goofy I am when I play! I especially LOVE tennis balls!! I am very eager to get out of the shelter and into my forever home.
