(KINGSVILLE, ON) – On April 13, 2021 at 11:25 p.m. the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Kingsville Detachment responded to a fail to remain collision between a car and a pedestrian on Highway 3, near County Road 34, in the Town of Kingsville.
The pedestrian was crossing Highway 3 when they were struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. The vehicle did not stop and offer assistance or wait for police to arrive at the scene. The car fled the area and has not been located.
The suspect vehicle may have damage to the front right passenger side and possibly be missing the passenger side mirror.
The injured pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
OPP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the involved driver and vehicle.
Highway 3 between County Road 34 and County Road 31 is closed while the investigation continues with the assistance of the OPP West Region Technical Collision Investigators (TCI).
