It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Joe Denotter, on April 22, 2021 at Erie Shores Healthcare in his 90th year.
He joins his beloved wife, Maria “Mies” Denotter (2015). Father of Henry and Kathy, Eric (2011) and Barb, Robert (1967), Brad and Anna Lisa. Much loved Opa to his grandchildren Derek, Jennica and Bryan, Jeremy and Emma, Sarah, Chrissy, Sophia and Blake. Cherished as “Opa Joe” to great grandchildren Jackson and Rae. Survived by 3 brothers in Holland and 1 sister in the USA.
Joe came to Canada at age 20 with a suitcase and a few dollars in his pocket. He took up farming, spent his life working the land and built a legacy which will live on for years to come.
Visitation will take place at Kendrick Funeral Home, Kingsville on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 2-5p.m. A private celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Monday April 26, 2021 where the service will be livestreamed at 2 p.m. from www.Kendrickfuneralhome.com. Burial will follow in Greenhill Cemetery.
