From Main Street Pharmacy: How to Book a Vaccination

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to give you a quick update on the COVID-19 Vaccine situation! We were unfortunately not selected as a pilot site for WECHU with the vaccine. We are hoping that once the pilot proves successful the province will engage the rest of the pharmacies in the county to help with vaccination efforts, but we do not have a timeline on that.

However that doesn’t mean we can’t keep you informed!

Patients 60-64 can begin accessing the AstraZeneca Vaccine at select pharmacies in Windsor-Essex County, but those pharmacies are required to book and manage their own appointments, there is no central scheduling tool that you can access to get an appointment.

You can find pharmacies that have the vaccine at: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/vaccine-locations

Patients 80 and older can register to get their vaccine through the WECHU by going to: https://uwindsor.ca1.qualtrics.com/…/SV_cNLRzBnAEGB0tDg or calling 519-251-4072.

The Ministry of Health is currently estimating that they will start Phase 2 of the vaccine rollout in April which will include patients aged 60-79 in 5 year increments, people in high-risk living situations, front line workers who cannot work from home and certain patients with high risk health issues.

As always if you have questions please give us a call at 519-712-8800 and I will do my best to help you with the ever changing information regarding the vaccine and any other issues you may be having! Stay healthy, stay safe and get the vaccine when you can!

Hello. When you find out about people in their 70s and late 60s will you publish that information. Because I get confused every day because they keep changing things.
Thanks ever so much. And stay safe
