Ivan Holmes

84 years passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.
Beloved husband for over 60 years of Donna Holmes (nee Szo).
Devoted father of Laurie (Mark), Patti, Michael and Larry.

Cherished grandfather of Bryan (Vanessa), Danielle (Corbin), Nicole (Adam), Cole (Tyler) and Jailynn. Great grandfather of Gabriel, Dante, Cylus, Caleb, Jack and baby to be Simpson.

Son of the late Ivan and Margaret (nee Labadie) Holmes.

Dear brother of Julie (Mike) Szymanski, Murray Holmes (Monique Larue). Predeceased by siblings Robert (Barbara) and William Holmes and sister-in-law Gloria.

Ivan’s family would like to thank the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County, Dr. Stephen Rukavina. To the nurses Amber and Jason, P.S.W.’s, Marjie, Jessica, Helen, Janet, Mary and Rose, you are truly special angels.

Ivan was a 3rd and 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #8233, Kingsville and Fr. Louis Boue Assembly #2355 as well as serving as a Eucharistic Minister at St. John de Brebeuf Catholic Church, Kingsville.

Ivan was a principal for the Catholic School Board.

Due to the current Pandemic, a funeral service will not take place, however, a memorial mass will be held at a later date for family and close friends to celebrate Ivan’s life, once we can gather again safely.

Memorial donations to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County or St. John de Brebeuf Building Fund would be appreciated.
