Town of Kingsville Has Passed Budget for 2021

Today, Kingsville Town Council passed a responsible budget with a 1.2% municipal tax rate increase. When combined with the County and Education tax rate, the overall residential tax rate increase will be 0.8% for 2021.

Kingsville continues to have the second lowest tax levy in Essex County and, when combined with provincial transfer payments, has the lowest total revenue and budget. The Town is proud to be able to deliver excellent services while maintaining a responsible budget. To see the approved budget, visit www.kingsville.ca/budget.

The 2021 capital budget provides for a significant number of infrastructure projects, including the reconstruction of Road 2 East from Union Avenue to Graham Side Road and the reconstruction of Jasperson Drive, which will support the new school site and help facilitate downtown traffic flow.

The budget also accounts for constructing a children’s splash pad at Lakeside Park, planned development to Lions Park, and construction of pickleball courts at the Kingsville Arena recreation complex.
