The 17th Annual Kingsville Santa Claus Parade will be happening on November 21, 2020 but with a COVID twist. Normally we stand along the streets and watch as the parade as it moves by. This time, though, the parade will be standing still and we’ll drive along it in our individual vehicles.
The staging areas to view the Santa Claus Drive-Through Parade will be in the parking lot of Kingsville District High School between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. This will be the only permitted access point for people to see it.
The line-up location is at Main and Spruce Streets. There will be a waiting area to queue cars at the high school, but it’s important to note that the only parade entrance is at Main and Spruce Streets.
This is going to be different from any Christmas parade you’ve ever experienced before. But all the key elements will be in in operation. There will be colourful, festive floats and enormous character balloons on display. Bands will be playing Christmas music you know and love. And the grand finale will, of course, be Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The creativity and fun that you normally associate with a Kingsville Parade will be spilling out all over, as in past years. And let’s face it, you’ll be warmer in your vehicle than you would be shivering on the street. So get cozy in your car and enjoy the ride.
